Finnish state company Metsähallitus, which manages one third of the country's land and water area and is already active in onshore wind, wants to become a player in Baltic Sea turbine development.
The company last month has submitted a planning proposal for an offshore wind farm to the municipality of Korsnäs in Western Finland’s Ostrobothnia region, in an attempt to help the Nordic country become fossil free by 2035.
