US President Joe Biden’s government will resume the environmental review of developer Vineyard Wind’s pioneering fully-contracted 800MW offshore wind project, a process the previous administration had terminated in mid-December last year.

“Offshore wind has the potential to help our nation combat climate change, improve resilience through reliable power, and spur economic development to create good-paying jobs,” newly named director of the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) Amanda Lefton said in a statement.
