German wind turbine OEM Enercon has shrugged off the logistical impacts of Covid-19 to advance Europe’s largest wind power complex at Markbygden in northern Sweden, which has already passed 1GW in installed capacity.

The turbine manufacturer, which is also a turn-key developer of wind projects, has handed over a first batch of 25 machines for ‘Markbygden Phase II North’ at the megadevelopment to investor Energy Infrastructure Partners (EIP), formerly Credit Suisse Energy Infrastructure Partners, as planned.
