Both onshore and offshore wind could be built without subsidies in Estonia by 2025, the country’s deputy secretary for energy, Ando Leppiman, told Recharge.

Considering current [Nordic] wholesale electricity market prices of €35-40/MWh ($42-48) as well as the price levels of recent onshore and offshore wind auctions, and then extrapolating that into the future “I’m pretty sure we are already going to see by 2025 very competitive market players,” Leppiman said in an interview.
