Equinor has teamed up with South Korean state-owned power generation company EWP to cooperate on 3GW of offshore wind projects in the East Asian country, eyeing use of the Norwegian oil major's recently launched Wind Semi floating wind concept.

The two companies have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) over their planned cooperation, which they reckon will contribute significantly to Korea’s ambition to build 12GW of offshore wind capacity by 2030.
