CapX2020, the largest development of new transmission in the region in nearly 40 years, includes four 345kV lines and one of 230kV capacity totaling almost 800 miles (1,287km).
Now energized are a 250 mile, 345kV segment between Brookings, South Dakota, and a substation south of Minneapolis-Saint Paul, and a 240 mile, 345kV segment from a substation near Fargo, North Dakota and a substation in east-central Minnesota.
