German wind OEM Enercon has completed the installation of its largest-ever-rotor prototype , the 4.6MW low-wind E-160 EP5 model, at the Wieringermeer test site in the Netherlands.
Construction of the unit follows up on the installation of the flagship E-138 EP3 E2 prototype in Janneby, Germany in March, which was the first project Enercon successfully completed under the difficult operating conditions caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
