Swedish utility Vattenfall also confirmed that it has bid in the Borssele 1&2 tender, but without revealing a preferred turbine supplier.
Another consortium – comprised of German utility RWE, Portugal's EDPR and Australia's Macquarie Capital – had already made known its intention to bid for Borssele 1 and 2 public.
Offshore wind market-leader Dong Energy told Recharge it does not comment on individual tenders, but a spokesperson added: "On a general note, we consider the Dutch market interesting because it is a consistent programme with five tenders."
