Over the next five years, the company may invest up to R$5bn ($2.15bn) in ongoing and Greenfield projects, the Diário de Natal daily newspaper reports.
Endesa representatives were in Rio Grando do Norte this week to sign a lease on 1,300 hectares of land, which will be studied for feasibility. The company hopes to have farms up and running within five years.
