“Red Pine has not made a final wind turbine selection, but is currently considering Vestas V100, V117 and V126 wind turbines,” according to developer Red Pine Power Partners’ application for Certificate of Need (CON) filed on 16 September with the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission.
Vestas’ V100 is a 2MW platform and the V117 and V126 have 3.45MW nameplate capacity. The project would involve utilisation of 58 to 100 turbines, associated facilities, access roads, four meteorological towers, and an operations and maintenance building.
