The Luxembourg scheme will introduce premium payments to support operators of wind, solar, biogas, hydropower and biomass installations. 

The total budget for the Luxembourg plan will be around €150m ($169m) to be allocated between 2016 and 2020.

Under the EU’s Renewable Energy Directive Luxembourg has set a renewable power target to generate 11% of its power from renewables by 2020.

Malta’s scheme will support solar photovoltaic and onshore wind installations in the form of a premium payment on top of the market price.
