The opening round closed on 29 September. All bids will be assessed by a team of domestic and international experts until the end of the year at the latest.

The Dutch government expects prices in the bidding round to come in even lower than the rock-bottom €72.70 ($81.63) per megawatt hour reached at an auction earlier this year for the adjacent around 700MW Borssele 1&2 zone, René Moor, programme manager for offshore wind at the Dutch economics ministry, said during the WindEurope summit in Hamburg last week.
