Uncertainty remains over whether a plan for an 8.2GW offshore wind complex in South Korea – which would be the world’s largest – will actually get built, an analyst group warned.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in earlier in February unveiled the huge ambition for a 48trn won ($43bn) wind complex off the country’s South Jeolla province, during a signing ceremony attended by industrial heavyweights planning to take part in the project, including Korea Electric Power (Kepco), SK Engineering & Construction and Doosan Heavy Industries.
