Hornsea 1 – which was the subject of a final investment decision by Dong yesterday – will deploy the innovative system following successful trials at Germany’s Borkum Riffgrund 1 (BR1) wind farm.
The technology will boost Dong’s ability to exploit deeper waters using next-generation wind turbines, CEO Henrik Poulsen said today.
