Ramboll will be joined by Louisiana-based Keystone Engineering and UK consultancy PMSS in designing the 130 monopile foundations to be installed in Nantucket Sound, off the coast of Massachusetts.
The appointment of Ramboll adds further gravitas to the project, which has struggled for years to escape from development purgatory due to politics, concerns about the environmental impact, and fierce objections from some local residents.
