DEME Offshore has been awarded a contract for the transport and installation of the jackets and topsides for two Dutch offshore wind substations in the Hollandse Kust cluster by Engie-Smulders tie-up Engie Solutions-lemants .
The Belgian contractor will also supply and install scour protection – which prevents erosion to the seabed under a foundation – for two 700MW substations. One will serve the Hollandse Kust North project and another the first phase (alpha) of the Hollandse Kust West project.
