Acciona Energy has bought a 24% stake in French floating wind start-up Eolink at a financing round led by the Spanish renewable company.
Eolink plans to install and test a 5MW demonstrator model of its innovative pyramidal concept next year at the SEM-REV Atlantic Ocean test site off Le Croisic – where compatriot Ideol’s FloatGen flagship has been operating since 2018.
With a height of 150 meters, Eolink’s floating wind turbine will provide enough electricity to power 3,500 homes.
