One of a pair of giant UK North Sea wind farms planned by Vattenfall may have escaped the prospect of the same type of legal challenge that hobbled its twin, after a local campaigner said the deadline for action against Norfolk Boreas had passed.

Vattenfall feared the 1.8GW Boreas – which received development consent from the UK government in December – would face judicial review proceedings mirroring earlier action that led a court to overturn approval for the same-sized Vanguard project.
