Output in Cuxhaven will then gradually ramp up towards the autumn of next year, a Siemens press official told Recharge. The company had earlier said that it intends to enter into serial production of the SWT-7.0-154 in the fall of 2017.
Siemens will manufacture the 75-meter rotor blades for the 7MW machine at another new factory in the UK port of Hull, where production is slated to begin simultaneously.
