The Crown Estate has revealed details of its “milestone” 4.5GW floating offshore wind auction, which its marine managing director said starts a “whole new chapter” for the sector in the UK by opening up gigascale wind on its Western coast.
Seabed landlord The Crown Estate today (Thursday) published the bidding guidelines for its Offshore Wind Leasing Round 5, in the Celtic Sea off the coast of Wales and the southwest of England.
