Covid impact expected to ‘tail off’ over coming quarters on vaccine roll-out: Siemens Gamesa

Onshore wind turbine sales continue to be affected by some delays in project execution as a result of the restricted movement of goods and people due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Siemens Gamesa said as it presented full results for October to December.

But the impact from the pandemic in what was the OEM’s first quarter of its 2021 fiscal year was already lower than in the previous fiscal year, and is expected to tail off over the coming quarters as the vaccine is rolled out, the manufacturer said.
