According to Charles Tang, president of the Brazil-China Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Chinese companies are considering buying a solar portfolio of 600MW and 750MW of wind, alongside other generation assets.
“There is even a letter of intent signed between the two companies,” said Tang during a wind business meeting.
He said that the solar projects do not have power-purchase agreements (PPAs) while the wind assets have PPAs or are under construction.
