Two of China’s southern provinces unveiled ambitious offshore wind targets that confirm ongoing appetite for development, despite the imminent end of national subsidies and with no local financial support in sight.

Guangdong and Guangxi became the first two Chinese provinces to sign-off their offshore wind development roadmaps after 2021, as central and local regulators in China begin to pencil in new 14th Five-Year Plans that will determine the trajectory of different energy sectors between 2021 and 2025.
