Wind turbine manufacturer Goldwind said it won more than 600MW of orders in Ukraine, in what is one of the biggest successes yet by a Chinese OEM in the European market.

Goldwind will supply its GW 155-4.5MW and 155-4.8MW machines to the 337MW Zophia and 288MW Ochakov projects in southern Ukraine, both of which are due online by the end of next year and will provide power for more than a million homes, according to a statement by the company that hailed it as a “major breakthrough” in the southeast European nation
