China's first floating wind platform is poised to start its journey to a pioneering project by China Three Gorges (CTG) that will unite it with a MingYang Smart Energy turbine off Guangdong province.

The delivery on Tuesday at Chinese yard Wison Offshore & Marine's Zhoushan facility in Zhejiang province will be followed by the semi-submersible platform sailing away on 15 June and arriving at the site off Yangjiang a week later.
