Skanska will get the Kafjärdenwind farm ready for an expected start of commercial operations in summer 2016, said Envision, which bought the project in July to act as a spearhead for its European onshore wind ambitions and promised to expedite its construction.
The deployment of the EN-120/3.0MW and EN-115/2.3MW turbines is designed to create a working shop window for the Chinese group’s technology on the doorstep of established European rivals such as Vestas and Siemens.
