China and Europe will be the leading markets as global wind power capacity almost doubles in the ten years through 2028, according to the latest Fitch Solutions’ Global Wind Power Forecast.

The analyst group expect 495.3GW in fresh wind capacity to be added by 2028 to an estimated 564.3GW that had been installed through 2018, a projected growth rate of 6.5% a year.

“Asia will be the dominant region for wind power capacity growth, accounting for up to 62% of the global total.
