The UK's Carbon Trust has issued new guidance for wind developers on honing the way geophysical surveys for unexploded ordnance (UXO) and boulder clearance are carried out at offshore wind farms.

The guidance, developed via the body’s Offshore Wind Accelerator scheme with support from geoscience and geotechnical consultancy Cathie UK and UXO specialists Ordtek, is the first dedicated to the offshore wind industry.
