Regional grid operator Southwest Power Pool filed the new GIA today between Capital Power Bloom Wind LLC and interconnecting transmission owner ITC Great Plains for the project with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for approval.
FERC had accepted an earlier one in May 2015.
Construction of Bloom Wind is underway. It will now utilize 54Vestas V117 3.3MW wind turbines instead of previously agreed V112 3MW machines that were included in the earlier GIA, according to Mike Martin, a Capital Power spokesman in Boston.
