The Alberta Investment Management Corp. (AIMCo), a manager of Canadian state pensions, has completed its acquisition of a 90% stake in Spanish renewables developer Eolia Renovables de Inversiones from Oaktree Capital Management.
The deal, first announced in November, went smoothly, with AIMCo adding to its expanding global renewables portfolio with nearly 700MW of Spanish wind and solar assets and a pipeline of development opportunities.
