Thousands of jobs in the wind industry are being lost as a result of flawed regulatory framework conditions, Germany’s wind energy federation (BWE) said, rejecting suggestions by economics and energy minister Peter Altmaier that increased competition is to blame.

The BWE is particularly upset about comments by Altmaier in relation to job cuts, stating that market participants in wind needed to face “a bit of market economy”.
