Berkshire Hathaway’s MidAmerican Energy expects to re-power an additional 614W of older wind turbines trough 2020, boosting energy generation by 19% to 30% and qualifying the facilities for another decade of federal production tax credits.
MidAmerican, which has more wind power on its system than any single US rate-regulated utility, re-powered 636MW of older wind farms in 2017-2018 – second only to 2.49GW
