Omega Geração has bought 50MW in wind power capacity in the north-eastern state of Bahia, pushing it's total renewable energy capacity above 1.1GW, as the Brazilian renewable energy company is continuing a mergers and acquisition strategy.

The company bought the Laranjeiras III and Laranjeiras IX wind farms with 25MW each from local renewable energy developer Companhia de Energias Renováveis (CER), which is controlled by infrastructure investment fund FIP CIEER.
