Brazil's Tecsis has delivered the 45th set of blades for refurbishment of the 186MW Storm Lake I and II and 103.5MW Lake Benton wind farms in the US, consolidating a strategic move to provide services beyond its increasingly competitive domestic market.
The Storm Lake facilities in Iowa and Lake Benton complex in Minnesota both entered commercial operation in 1998. They are owned by Allete Clean Energy (ACE), an independent power producer and subsidiary of Allete, a Duluth-based utility holding company.
