Siemens Gamesa is set to deliver the most powerful wind turbines yet seen in Brazil after clinching a 312MW order for its latest turbine platform operating at ratings up to 6.2MW.
The Spanish-German OEM will supply 52 of its SG 5.8-170 turbines to a Brazilian wind project owned by US power group AES.
As well as setting a new benchmark in Brazil, the deal is the largest yet for the Siemens Gamesa 5.X
