Everaldo Feitosa is one of Brazil's wind pioneers. In 1989, he began mapping wind resource and researching the technology at the Federal University of Pernambuco. By 1995, he was responsible for the installation of one of the country's first commercial wind turbines at Olinda, Pernambuco state – a 300kW test turbine.
Such work has earned him a seat as vice-president of the World Wind Energy Association.
