Cabling contractors Royal Boskalis and NKT will share a total of €550m ($625m) from German TSO 50Hertz for their part in the Ostwind 2 grid link connecting Parkwind’s 247MW Arcadis Ost 1 and Iberdrola’s 476MW Baltic Eagle wind farms to the coast.
Royal Boskalis won the €250m export cable installation contract comprising the design and installation of around 270km of export cable that will connect the two planned wind farms to an onshore substation at Lubmin on the Baltic Sea coast.
