The BNDES loan represents 74% of the investment total (R$792.2m). The farms, located in the cities of Igaporã, Guanambi e Caetité, are being built by Renova Energia and a total installed capacity of 195.2MW.
GE will supply 122 turbines for the plants, which were contracted via federal tender in December 2009. The farms must come on line in July 2012 under 20-year contracts.
