Pioneering floating wind developer BlueFloat Energy has won environmental approval for a 1GW project off the coast of Taiwan.
BlueFloat announced on LinkedIn on Saturday that an environmental impact assessment panel had approved the company's Winds of September array.
The project is 25 kilometres off the coast of the northern Taiwanese city of Hsinchu – known for receiving strong winds every September – and covers an area of over 125 square kilometres.
