Block Island wins final US approval

Developer Deepwater Wind on Friday received the final federal approval needed to build the 30MW Block Island Wind Farm, a demonstration project in state waters off the coast of Rhode Island.

Block Island will utilize the 6MW Haliade 150 turbine.
