The billionaire founder of the Zara clothing empire entered the renewable energy sector by taking a stake in a Spanish wind farm built by oil group Repsol.
Pontegadea, the investment vehicle of Amancio Ortega, will pay €245m ($281m) for a 49% share of Repsol’s 335MW Delta project in the province of Zaragoza in its first deal in green power.
