Siemens Gamsea has won an order to supply local developer Eolus and Hydro REIN, a unit of Norwegian aluminium producer Norsk Hydro, with 260MW of its recently unveiled 6.6MW onshore wind turbine for a project in central Sweden.
The OEM is slated to deliver 42 of its SG 6.6-170 machines to the Stor-Skälsjön project located in Timrå and Sundsvall municipalities for installation in 2023.
