RWE Renewables and a consortium made up of Danish developer Orsted and Polish utility PGE have been awarded contracts for difference (CfD) for a combined 2.85GW in Polish offshore wind capacity by the country’s energy regulator.
As their projects form part of a first batch of 5.9GW in pre-developed projects, the companies have been granted the support directly, without the need for a previous tender.
