Big Apple seeks share of green boom as New York City pursues 'offshore wind vision'

New York City continued its expansion into offshore wind by offering another property up for potential development, part of a drive by the Big Apple to reap industrial benefits from the US sector's impending boom.

New York City Economic Development Corporation ( NYC EDC), a non-profit that leverages city assets for the good of local businesses and the community, issued a request for proposals (RfP) for a property in Staten Island, New York City, for use in maritime industries, including offshore wind.
