Last month, Beothuk retained renewable energy investment dealer Jacob Securities Inc (JSI) of Toronto to identify project financing, which it did. Mercer says the companies are keeping the identity confidential for now.
For planning purposes, Beothuk is factoring in maybe a possible 20% cost difference, “depending on a few things,” he notes. That means the final price tag could be between C$400m and $C500m.
