Beothuk wind project gains momentum off Newfoundland coast

Beothuk Energy has identified a source of funding for its proposed C$400m ($303.1m), 180MW wind farm in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, off the west coast of Newfoundland, and will announce a “preferred supplier” for the 30 turbines within two weeks, chief executive Kirby Mercer tells Recharge.
