Beothuk chief executive Kirby Mercer revealed their intentions after announcing that Talon had acquired an interest in the Canadian developer, which earlier announced plans to construct an 180MW wind farm in St. George’s Bay, Newfoundland.
To support that project, Beothuk will also build a gravity-based substructure manufacturing facility at the Port of Corner Brook, and a service and staging facility at Port Harmon, Stephenville, both in Newfoundland.
