BBW, Australia’s largest wind player, announced it will pursue previously suggested plans of beginning a third round of construction to add 39MW of capacity to its Lake Bonney facility in South Australia.

The first and second phases of Lake Bonney’s wind farms total 239.5MW, and benefit from strong winds with a capacity factor of approximately 33%.

BBW says it has already lined up a turbine supply contract and all relevant land leases, with a grid connection agreement in the “advanced stages of negotiation.”
