Battery storage installations nearly doubled last year compared to 2022 with developers connecting 7.88GW to the grid, trailing only solar and raising cumulative capacity by 85% to reach 17GW/45,588MWh, according to renewable energy advocacy group American Clean Power Association (ACP).
“Building new storage projects has never been more attractive in this country,” said John Hensley, vice president of markets and policy analysis.
