Siemens Gamesa has won the first order to supply a wind project in Romania since the market collapsed eight years ago amid a retroactive change to renewables support.

The OEM will supply Eurowind Energy’s 48MW Pecineaga wind project with eight of its SG 6.6-170 turbines at a site around 50km from Constanta. Installation on the turbines' 135-metre towers is expected to be carried out in the second half of 2024.
