Avangrid moves to lock in full PTC for 2GW of future wind

Iberdrola-owned Avangrid has authorised the purchase of enough wind components by the end of this year to lock in the full production tax credit (PTC) for an additional 2GW of US wind capacity – most of it currently without PPAs.
